Prep Time: 20 mins • Cook Time: 15 mins • Total Time: 35 mins • Servings: 20 (Yield: 20 small rolls)

Ingredients

  • Butter or nonstick spray for greasing pan
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar (for pan)
    Filling:
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
    Glaze:
  • 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 2 teaspoons milk
    Biscuits:
  • 1 (10-count) package refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted (for coating)

Directions

Step 1
Prep pan & sugar: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Butter the bottom of an 8-inch round or square baking pan and sprinkle 2 tablespoons brown sugar evenly across the bottom.

Step 2
Make filling: In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup white sugar, 2 tbsp cinnamon, 2 tbsp brown sugar, and 1 tbsp vanilla; mix thoroughly.

Step 3
Mix glaze: In a small bowl, whisk confectioners’ sugar and milk until smooth; set aside.

Step 4
Assemble rolls: Separate biscuits and flatten each one with your hand or rolling pin. Brush each piece with melted butter and sprinkle the filling mixture over it. Roll each up tightly and cut in half (or leave whole for larger rolls). Place cut-side down into the prepared pan, spacing each piece; total yield ~20 pieces.

Step 5
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven until the tops are golden and biscuit centers are cooked, about 15 minutes.

Step 6
Glaze & serve: Remove from oven, let cool 1–2 minutes, then spoon or drizzle glaze over warm rolls. Serve immediately.

Cook’s Note

Substitute store-bought crescent dough for slightly different texture. For a quicker glaze, mix 1/2 cup powdered sugar with 1–2 tsp milk and a pinch of salt. These are great for kids to assemble — let them spread filling and roll!
